Poster for Dó Ré MIEI, a collective exhibition
Music and illustration share a common ground: interpretation. Both translate emotions, atmospheres, and narratives, creating bridges between the creator and the observer or listener. Dó Ré MIEI is a collective exhibition by the Master’s students in Illustration, Edition and Print (MIEI) at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto (FBAUP), where sound takes shape and image finds rhythm. Through different techniques and visual approaches, each illustration reflects a dialogue between graphic expression and musicality. If music makes us imagine images, illustration can also evoke sound. Between visual compositions inspired by melodies, representations of musical instruments, and images that echo sheet music, this exhibition invites you to explore a space where seeing and hearing intersect.
Dó Ré Mi is just the beginning.
