Hello! I’m Cátia Vide, an illustrator and graphic designer based in Porto, Portugal.
My work focuses on children’s illustration and picture books, but I also enjoy working on and am often commissioned for other types of projects, such as packaging, editorial illustration, and even clothing.
I hold a degree in Graphic Design from IPCA and a postgraduate degree in Illustration from FBAUP, where I’m currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Illustration, Edition, and Print (MIEI).
Over the years, my professional practice has encompassed illustration, graphic design, and teaching, leading to collaborations with publishers, magazines, newspapers, companies, and brands, as well as participation in collective exhibitions. My picture books have been published in Portugal, Spain, Poland, the United States, and Italy. My work has also been recognised by distinctions such as 3x3 Contemporary Illustration Magazine, Communication Arts Illustration, and the Biennial of Illustration of Guimarães (BIG).
